Points on Palin

There are a couple of points to make on Sarah Palin:

1) Nobody who supported Palin as VP/Governor cares about her leaving her office during a term. Most are aware of the media pounding on her since she was named VP candidate. Granted some bad media is her own fault, but most was driven by left ideological reporters/media.

2) It should be obvious with a hack like Obama being elected that the game in national politics has changed. Flaws of candidates (real or perceived) is a media/exposure problem which can be overcome with the right marketing. Very difficult to do from Alaska.

3) Its about the Primaries in 2012. With the economy going to hell in basket at neck braking pace, the GOP candidate will have an advantage, assuming they win the primary. While there could be a candidate to come out of nowhere, chances are we already know the frontrunners. Romney has positioned himself well. Huckabee is a proven bigot with a propensity to take shots at other conservatives for no apparent reason other than they are not him. Newt has alot of person issues that will be brought not just by liberals but also conservatives. So, my point is that assuming one of these people are selected as GOP Pres nominee they still need to choose a VP. As the McCain/Palin ticket showed in their rallies, no one could turn out a crowd/supporters like Palin. That enthusiasm is vital to project a country looking for guest what "Change".

4) Two years is a long time in politics and in the economy and at this time in our history, they are directly linked. If the economy starts a recovery before 2012, its to the Dem party's/Obama's advantage. If not, any GOP national politician will have a chance. Bet on the later.
